精诚所至，金石为开
jīng chéng suǒ zhì, jīn shí wéi kāi
释义：
指人的诚心所到，能感动天地，使金石为之开裂。
比喻只要专心诚意去做，什么疑难问题都能解决。
Absolute sincerity will move a heart of stone.
No difficulty is insurmountable if one sets one's mind on it.
出处：
《庄子·渔父》：“真者，精诚之至也，不精不诚，不能动人”。
典故：
西汉时期，有一个著名将领叫李广。他精于骑马射箭，作战非常勇敢，被称为“飞将军”。有一次，他去冥山南麓打猎，忽然发现草丛中蹲伏着一只猛虎。李广急忙弯弓搭箭，全神贯注，用尽气力，一箭射去。他以为老虎一定中箭身亡，然而次日天亮派人前去查看时，却发现被射中的是一块形状像老虎的大石头，整支箭都射入了石头中。李广不相信自己能有如此大的力气，于是又试了一次。但射出去的几支箭都没有穿破石头，有的箭头破碎了，有的箭杆折断了，而大石头一点儿也没有受到损伤。
人们对这件事情感到疑惑不解，于是就去请教学者扬雄。扬雄回答说：“如果诚心实意，即使像金石那样坚硬的东西也会被感动的。”
“精诚所至，金石为开”这一成语也便由此流传下来。
Li Guang, a famous general, was adept at horsing riding and archery. He was called Fly General due to his valiant fighting spirit during the Western Han period. Once, he found a fierce tiger couching on the bushes when he went to the south of Mingshan to go hunting. He hurried to shoot an arrow focusing on the animal with all his strength. He believed that the tiger died since the arrow was totally in its body. However, when Li Guang sent his soldiers to check next day, it was surprised that what he shot was a big stone shaped like a tiger, and all the arrow got into the stone. He couldn’t believe that he had such strong power to shoot through the hard stone, so he tried again. The stone was not shot, but the arrows were broken.
People confused about this matter so that they consulted the scholar Yang Xiong. Yang Xiong replied, “The utmost sincerity can touch even metal and stone.”
The idiom “精诚所至，金石为开” is passed down from generations to generations.
