It is said that Cui Hu, a well-known scholar from Boling, was disappointed when he failed the examination. On the Qingming Festival, he went to the south of the city alone and saw a village house surrounded by peach blossoms. Thirsty, he knocked at the door and asked for a drink. A beautiful young girl opened the door. At the first sight, Cui Hu fell in love with the girl. On Qingming Festival next year, Cui Hu revisited there. He saw that the courtyard wall was closed and the door was locked. Despondent, he wrote a poem on the door: In the same courtyard on the same date of last year, her face and peach blossoms reflected each other's grace. But now where is the pretty girl? Only the peach blossoms still swing and smile in the spring breeze. Later, people use this idiom to describe girls' beauty, or to express love feelings.
