Program Introduction

Confucius Institute at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, an Overseas Chinese Language Teachers Training Center of Beijing Language and Culture University, is devoted to improve the Chinese teaching of local Chinese language teachers from Romania and the othereuropeancountries and other countries which are nearby Romania; it is also dedicated to promote the exchanges and cooperation in Chinese learning between China and foreign countries. 

Objects

1. Local Chinese language teachers from Romania and the othereuropeancountries and other countries which are nearby Romania;

2. Chinese language teachers in Confucius Institutes (including Confucius Classrooms and independent teaching units) from Romania and the othereuropeancountries and other countries which are nearby Romania;

3. Reserve personnel of local Chinese language teachers (including sophomores and junior students majoring in Chinese, regular employees teaching Chinese, etc.) from Romania and the othereuropeancountries and other countries which are nearby Romania.

Objectives

1. To understand the cutting-edge concepts of TCSOL, to enrich and update the teaching concepts and methods;

2. To further improve Chinese teaching skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing;

3. To improve teaching methods of language elements such as pronunciation, Chinese characters, vocabulary, grammar, etc.;

4. To conduct the instructional design (including language elements teaching, classroom teaching methods and skills design, etc.) based on teaching practice (including local teaching objects, teaching conditions, etc.); 

5. To solve the problems related to classroom management, so as to enhance teaching cognition, and curriculum design and practical operation ability.

1. Regular training mode: Expert Lecture (students ask questions after experts’ teaching)

2. Characteristic training modes: Conversation with Experts, Diagnostic Lectures on Teaching

Curriculum

Experts Introduction

Zhang Hao, female, doctor, professor. She graduated from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature of Peking University with bachelor's and master’s degrees in 1988 and 1991 respectively. She taught in four overseas universities in Switzerland, the United States and Canada for nearly 10 years. As an expert of Hanban, she did training for Chinese teachers abroad many times.

Li Xiaoli, an associate professor of Beijing Language and Culture University, a tutor of master students, an expert on Chinese language teacher training of Hanban. She has been invited to Italy, Mexico, the United States, Macao, China and other countries and regions to train Chinese language teachers and participate in academic exchanges.
